    Our Recipes

    Peanut Butter Banana Muffins:

    1 cup all purpose flour 1/2 cup mashed ripe banana (about 1 large)
    3/4 cup Quaker Oats 1 egg, beaten
    1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
    1 Tablespoon baking powder 1 teaspoons vanilla
    1 cup milk 1/2 cup peanut butter

    1/4 cup Quaker Oats 2 Tablespoons margarine, melted
    1/4 cup all purpose flour 2 Tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar

    Heat oven to 375. Grease 12 medium muffin cups or line with paper baking cups. combine flour, oats, brown sugar and baking powder. Whisk together milk, peanut butter, banana, eggs, oil and vanilla. Add to dry ingredients, mixing just until moistened. Fill prepared muffin cups 3/4 full. combine remaining ingredients. sprinkle evenly over batter. Bake 16-18 minutes or until golden brown.

    1 dozen muffins.

    Rhubarb Nut Bread

    1 cup brown sugar 1 1/2 cup diced rhubarb
    2/3 cup salad oil 1 teaspoon salt
    1 3gg 1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 cup buttermilk 1 teaspoon vanilla
    2 1/2 cups flour 1/2 cup chopped nuts

    1/2 cup sugar 1 Tablespoon butter
    1 teaspoon cinnamon

    Beat brown sugar and oil together until well blended. Beat in egg and buttermilk. Sift together flour, salt and soda and combine with first mixture. Stir in vanilla, rhubarb and nuts. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans. Mix sugar, melted butter and cinnamon, and sprinkle over top of batter. Bake at 325 for one hour or until done.

    Adamstown Inn Granola

    6 cups rolled oats 1 cup chopped nuts ( walnuts or pecans)
    2 cups shredded coconut 1 cup raisins or dried cranberries
    1 cup wheat germ 1 cup chopped dried pineapple

    1/2 cup vegetable oil 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    3/4 cup honey

    Combine the dry ingredients. Combine and heat oil, honey and vanilla in the microwave. Stir wet ingredients into dry and spread onto two greased cookie sheets. Bake in a 250 oven 20 to 30 minutes stirring occasionally. Cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
